📢 The Invisible Siege
Yesterday, the ABS released the "Recorded Crime – Offenders 2024-25" report.
It claims 344,620 offenders were proceeded against nationwide. In Victoria, the "offender rate" allegedly decreased by 3%.
I am here to tell you: these numbers aren't worth the paper they are written on.

These statistics do not measure the amount of crime in our streets. They measure police activity.
If the police refuse to investigate, the criminal doesn't exist.
If the police refuse to record a report, the victim is erased.
⚖️ The "Threshold" vs. The Reality
I met every single "solvability factor" the Victoria Police Manual requires for a mandatory investigation into organised crime, racketeering, and stalking:
Identifiable Suspects: I provided names and evidence of a competitor (a patched OMCG member) and the gang members who stalked me 24/7 to extort my business.
Direct Evidence: I provided CCTV of enforcers on my residential floor and footage of attempted break-ins and threats at my door.
Confessions & Witnesses: I provided recorded admissions of extortion and accounts from 50+ third parties.
The Result? Total institutional paralysis.
🛑 The Cost of Inaction
While Victoria Police "proceeded against" 18,335 injury-related offenders, they sanctioned ongoing, unchecked violence against a woman in business.
My Business: Shutdown. Income gone overnight.
My Safety: I haven't left my home freely in months. Recently, I spent up to 5 months straight behind a barricade because the state refuses to restore safety to a known crime scene. My recent blood tests show a low-level of Vitamin D, this matter is also wreaking havoc on my health.
My Health: I carry a diagnosis of acute retraumatisation with cPTSD, a direct physiological result of a prolonged OMCG siege that the state allowed to happen.
🕳️ The Systemic Erasure
By refusing to act, the police have blocked my access to Victims of Crime Assistance (VOCAT). They protect the "offender rate" by ensuring my attackers are never "proceeded against," leaving them free to continue their campaign at will and free to market racketeer, leaving the public vulnerable.
To the self-advocates and the community: When you see a "3% decrease" in crime, remember they would rather label a victim "mentally unwell" (unsuccessfully as per State diagnosis of trauma) than admit a bikie-led takeover of a female-led brand is happening under their noses.
They would rather a citizen fall into hardship than admit the institutions meant to protect us have failed.
I didn't hand over my business. I didn't break. And as promised by the extortionist, I have suffered the consequences. I am living in a crime scene that the ABS says doesn't exist.
It has been nearly a year since I first asked VICPOL for help. Today, I ask the same thing: Please help me feel safe again so I can reclaim an existence beyond my front door.
